  • After student teaching here at Aura and graduating from Widener University in 1998, I began teaching my 1st Kindergarten class at Aura School. Kindergarteners are always such enthusiastic learners! I’ve also had the privilege of teaching students in First and Second grades but Kindergarten is my favorite place to be.

When I am not with my first grade friends, I am trying to be “super mom/wife” at home with my very energetic family. I also love to decorate, shop, travel, and play family games.   • Hello, my name is Miss Jaraiedi and I have been a teacher at Aura Elementary School for seven years! I graduated in 2011 from Rowan University with my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I was fortunate enough to be placed at Aura during my student teaching and I have never left! I began as a long term sub for one year in first grade, and ever since my second year I have been teaching fourth grade. I love my students and look forward to seeing their smiling faces each morning!
  • Hi my name is Mrs. Rachel Tomczak! In 2006 I graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with my degree in elementary education. This is my 10th year at Aura Elementary School and my 13th year as a teacher. I am excited about my journey this year as the 1st/2nd literacy and math teacher. I have previously taught 4th BSI, 2nd grade and Kindergarten here at Aura. I am passionate about students learning at their levels and hope to spark a life-long love of learning in their hearts!
  • I am a graduate of Glassboro State College (now named Rowan University). I hold a Bachelor's Degree of Art in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Mathematics. I am certified to teach Kindergarten - Twelfth Grade. I started working at Aura School in September of 1992. I taught computers for 19 years. I taught basic skills for a number of years. I also taught third grade for two years. This year I will be a support teacher (basic skills) in kindergarten, first, second, and sixth grades. I am married, with two children. We live in Elmer with our little dogs Cuddles and Chloe. My hobbies include "playing" on the computer. Lately I have been addicted to watching "Impractical Jokers." In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and our fur babies.
  • I am excited to be a part of the Aura School family as a Second Grade teacher. My absolute favorite thing about teaching is fostering enthusiasm for learning, while watching students become motivated, independent life-long learners. Prior to teaching I attended Rowan University, where I earned two Bachelor of Art degrees in Collaborative Education and American Studies. I also went on to earn a Master of Science in Teaching.   • I began my teaching career at Aura School as a student teacher and have been here ever since! I have taught third grade, kindergarten, second grade and first grade. I want my students to feel that our classroom is a home away from home where they feel safe, loved and successful.

During this time I have taught second, third, and fourth grade.In addition to teaching at Aura, I have had the opportunity to watch the students grow through activities such as Talent Show, SWAG, Summer Arts Program, and the Science Fair. Before coming to Aura I taught for two in a private school in Monmouth County. I received my Bachelor Degree in biology with a minor in chemistry as well as my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Monmouth University. I also did an internship through a medical research grant at The Coriell Institute in Camden, NJ. At Rowan University I earned a Supervisor Certificate in Curriculum.
  • I have been a teacher for 21 years - from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Princeton, New Jersey, finally teaching the past 19 at Aura School. I have a degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Teaching, and a certification in middle school math. I have taught 4th through 8th grades and currently teach 6th grade, my favorite! A fun fact about me is that my favorite subject to teach is math, but I secretly aspire to publish a novel. I hope to connect with my students to not only instill a love of learning, but to make learning relatable to life. In my free time, if I am not at school, you can probably find me on a soccer field with my sons or at the gym working out since my other passion is fitness.
  • I have been at Aura for over 10 years. I have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, BSI, and now, technology. I also organize and teach the S.T.E.A.M. program to our Gifted and Talented 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders.The best thing about Aura school are the students! We have the greatest kids in the world who are enthusiastic about technology.

  • I have been teaching Art at Aura since 1994. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, minor in Theatre & a NJ certification in Art Education in grades K-12 from Rowan University. I take great pride and joy in opening up "The World of Art" to my students. I love watching their creativity, skills and Imagination grow from the time I meet them in kindergarten until they leave us in 6th grade. When not in school I enjoy performing in plays, spending time with my twin sons & family. It's my desire that every child who walks through my artroom door will take pride not only in his or her artwork but also in his or her self-worth. It's been a pleasure & honor to teach here at Aura School.
  • I have been teaching at Aura for four years, but teaching for nine years total! I began teaching fourth grade at Aura, but now teach Read 180. I enjoy literacy and I am currently pursuing my masters degree to become a reading specialist. I have a passion for instilling a love of reading in my students and absolutely love to see them succeed. In my freetime I play soccer, participate in cardio kickboxing, and like to spend time with my niece and nephews.
  • I have been teaching music at Aura since 2002. During that time, I have seen many students come and go; some have even chosen careers in music. However, one thing remains constant: the object I strive the most to instill in these students is an awareness of music’s important role in the enrichment of the human spirit.

  • I joined the Aura family in 2001 after graduating from Rowan University. I have taught Sixth Grade, First Grade and Kindergarten (my favorite). I love creating fun enagaging ways to reach all my little learners - seeing their happy smiling faces touches my heart. In my "free time", I am cheering on my three children at all their activities!
  • I love my Alma Mater - I'm an Aura Alumna! I was educated here, and now I'm back to return the gift of education to the community. This is my 17th year teaching at Aura School. I previously taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, Basic Skills, and Spanish. This year I have the pleasure of teaching 6th grade, and I absolutely LOVE it. I feel very fortunate to say that I have NOT worked in 17 years!! I am blessed enough to have a have a hobby that I get paid for...TEACHING! My favorite part about teaching is the reciprocity of learning, that I share with my students. It's amazing...I learn from them just as much as they learn from me. I graduated from Lincoln University, with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Most currently, I attained a Master's Degree in School Administration & Supervision, along with a NJ Principal's Certification, from Rowan University.
  • My name is Ashley Davis and this is my 12th year at Aura and my 8th year teaching 5th grade. My students are amazing, as well as the entire staff at Aura! I LOVE teaching 5th grade and watching my students grow throughout the course of the year. I currently teach Math, Science and Social Studies, but to be honest, my favorite subject to teach is Math. I love watching for the "AH HA" moments with my students and truly seeing them learn and grow. When I'm not at Aura you can find me with my family on some crazy adventure, traveling to the great unknown!

  • My name is Donna Foote. This is my 20th year teaching reading at Aura School. I am a reading specialist and I especially love working with beginning readers, getting them excited about reading, and teaching them little tricks (strategies) to make learning to read as easy as possible.

This is my first year back in third grade after moving up with my last class to fourth grade. I enjoy teaching third grade and love my class!
  • My name is Kristina Thumlert. I have resided in Elk Township for 23 years and have taught at Aura School for 18 years. I have taught preschool, kindergarten and second grade. I went to Rowan University and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Elementary Education, and a minor in Business Administration. I love being creative and instilling a love of learning in my students. In my free time I enjoy traveling (especially to Charleston, Virginia and Savannah), shopping, spending time at the Jersey Shore, dancing and spending time with my family.

  • My name is Mrs. Sondre Chacker. I have been teaching at our amazing school, Aura Elementary for many years. We use our great program, Tools of the Mind. I have been teaching Pre-Kindergarten for many years. I also taught first and second grade. I hold my Masters Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. My undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I love teaching Pre-Kindergarten! We have one Pre-Kindergarten and it is the very best as well as the most important year! I would like my children to leave our classroom with great self concept and good self esteem! I strive to individualize and help each child understand that they are unique and special! I absolutely enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, walking and traveling. My goal is to inspire each child's growth, academically and socially. It is important to me to make a difference in the life of every child!

  • My name is Steven Keane and I am a third grade teacher here at Aura Elementary. I graduated from Rowan University with degrees in both elementary education and history. In my classroom, I strive to create an environment that allows students to be creative and feel comfortable being themselves. My favorite part about teaching is getting to know the unique personalities of each student. I love learning and growing each and everyday with my class!
  • My passion is teaching and Aura Elementary School provides the ideal atmosphere for students to succeed. I've enjoyed more than 10 years of educating students and almost 20 years of coaching. Student learning is paramount. Not only do I get the opportunity to teach today's youth, but I also enjoy learning from my students as well. Physical education is important to the development of the whole child in every way, shape and form.
  • This is my eleveth year teaching at Aura Elementary School and is my thirteenth year working in education. I am certified to teach all subjects at the elementary level and middle school social studies and english language arts. I have taught 5th and 6th grade and this year I am the 6th grade literacy teacher. My journey to become an educator enabled me to have many experiences, which include spending a summer living in Chile, South America while studying a skeleton collection and excavating for The Anthropology and Archaeology Museum of La Serena. This year I am very excited to share my love of reading with my 6th grade literacy students!
  • This is my first year at Aura Elementary, but 22nd year as a registered nurse. I received my Bachelors in Nursing at the State University of New York at Stonybrook. I have worked in medical/ surgical and telemetry units. I have spent the majority of my nursing career working with dialysis patients. I love the students at Aura and their excitement toward learning. My main goal is to ensure that our students stay healthy so that they can excel in their classes and lead productive lifestyles. In my sparetime I enjoy travelling, running, and eating exotic cuisines.
  • This is my third year at Aura Elementary School and I love my dream job! My passion has always been teaching & social work and I have been fortunate enough to put the two together. I attended Rowan University for my Bachelor Degree and Rutgers University for my Master’s Degree. I then obtained a school certification focusing on school social work. I also serve as an Aura School parent. My daughter is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade at Aura. I am in charge of the Cultural Art Committee planning school assemblies and class trips. I am a very active gymnastics mom and Lifetime movie lover.

I graduated from West Chester University with both an Elementary and Special Education degree and earned my masters from Concordia University in Advanced Special Education.
